Many of you are probably wondering why, I even care that Budweiser is being sold to Germany (InBev). Well, being that I am a noob to the beer drinking world, my favorite beer (after that of Corona), is in fact all Budweiser brands(Budweiser select is in fact the best, especially on tap). I love the rich and smooth taste of Budweiser, and not just because they have the best commercials during the Super Bowl, but when I took my first sip as a teenager, it was, well.... nasty, but when I took that first unadulterated sip during the beginning of my college career I embarked on the piece of the American Dream. Yes, I seen the mountain tops MLK preached about and experienced an iota of enlightenment that monks spend their whole lives searching for and it was damn good. I'm sad that my dream is being sold off to Germany for a $52 billion dollars. To me this is not only the end of a legacy but the end of a friendship, a camaraderie an American or a human for that matter could only hope for.
I know that this is not going to completely discontinue the brand per se, I am pretty sure for capitalist sake InBev(the company that just bought it), is going to keep its consumers in mind, but lets be honest, German brews?
Ya digg!!
