Oh DeAndre. Where did we go wrong? Where were the lines of communication dropped? Why did you send the “Comment Goons” to my eDoorstep? Since when was providing an opinion a diss? If I WANTED to diss you, that would’ve been a piece of cake, but that wasn’t my motive nor will it ever because it’s pointless. The hell do I gain dissing you? Go head, I’ll wait.

Let me provide some insight on today’s events because judging by the response on your blog, your perception on this issue seems a bit off base (to me at least) . And who am I to blame you- you’re still young. But, that “young” sh*t is only going to carry you so far, DeAndre (sorry, I’m not calling you Soulja Boy anymore).

First off, let me formally introduce myself (that @BETBlogger moniker is absurd), I’m LowKey. I handle the posting duties around these parts. You might’ve heard of me, you might not- doesn’t matter to me none. I caught wind of your “Rich Nigga Sh*t” blog through a cohort of mine. Afterwords this is what SB said...


Why do the media blow up the things that they think will make me look stupid or ignorant. Why not publicize or put me in the spotlight when I do positive things? What about when I was in the hood this past Christmas passing out toys to everybody on the westside of Atlanta where I grew up why not show that on TV? Why not publicize my Little league football team that I sponsor in Batesville, MS or the money I donated to help build the rec center and boyz and girls club!? What about when I donated $25,000 for all those kids to have a good Christmas with the Toyz n da hood foundation? Why not step in when Ice-T was dissing me why not call up and have a sit down to squash that beef. THINK ABOUT IT A 40 YEAR OLD SOMETHING GANGSTA NIGGA VS. A 16 YEAR OLD KID (AT THE TIME). What if he really did have O.G. crip niggaz that had a price on my head to murder me? WHY DIDN’T YOU TRY TO STEP IN AND STOP THAT? In turn many bloggers think SB is nuts and that he basically deserves this coverage because he broadcast such negative things(his rich nigga shit series) on the web all the time.

In my Mind....
I honestly, (and not in a bias sense), see where SB is coming from, he is a descendent of instant grafitication and thus he broadcasts the things we wouldnt have obtained without his record deal and rap success. I think his actions are no different from people who have never had money before spend it on other stupid shit. Though in hip hop many of the things flashed are not owned but rather rented, but lets not forget, the dookey ropes of the 80's, the No Limits, the Cash Money's and the Bad Boys... I think it is safe to say that regardless if your a rapper or black celebrity the media does not want to portray positive things accomplished. America society feeds on danger, violence, absurdity and celeb madness and you get all if this in hip hop....
